Palestine

Palestine is a historic region whose borders have greatly changed since antiquity. Today, the Palestinian territories have a portion of territory around the Mediterranean, the Gaza Strip (360 km ²), and another part, the West Bank (5800 km²).
It is a mythic place in Islam and Christianity. Endowed with monuments that were dear to millions of people around the world, Palestine would become an obvious tourist destination first.

In short, a trip to Palestine is full of fabulous events and discoveries, which shows the beauty of the country, its dynamism and contradictions, not to mention its extraordinary complexity and extreme harshness of daily life.

For those who are in Jerusalem and the West Bank, they have access to various cultural activities (cinema, theater, concerts ...) and many sports activities. In Gaza, the choice may be more restricted (not cinema, sports facilities little ...). The French Cultural Center organizes various activities, however. And there is a center for fitness, a riding ... and the sea!

Palestinian territory is not accessible via the aircraft, you must go through Israel. We advise you to go through the international airport in Tel Aviv, at the exit on the right go to the place where the taxis ( "sheyrouth" in Hebrew). It is much cheaper than taxis individual.

Ask the driver to go to the Damascus Gate ( "Damasus Gate) in Jerusalem. Once there is a large parking lot with other collective taxi driven by Palestinians with Israeli citizenship. You can then ask them to lead you in Ramallah, Hebron or Nablus ...

Transports

The means of transport is the easiest-taxi service. The streets are full. They stop wherever you want and are cheap. Virtually all destinations (at least in the West Bank and Gaza) are served by these taxi services. The West Bank-Gaza route can also be done this way.

There are also buses (for more distant destinations). It is advisable to bring your passport when travelling. Sometimes there is a need to show the dams of the Israeli army (between Jerusalem and the West Bank or even on the roads in the West Bank). As to the entry and exit from the Gaza Strip, this is not done without difficulty and certainly not without documents.
