Backpacking in the Arab world                                       Back to the list of Arab countries

Surprises: The Doha Village is home to one of the largest amusement parks in the Middle East. Just beside the park is a small fishing village and the site for construction of dhows.
This triple-park theme offers a multitude of hikes according to those of all ages and nerves!

Romantic: The biggest dhow (a type of wooden boats) in the world - Al Hashemi II - is one of the usual conference and banqueting facilities in Kuwait, in dry-dock in the Radisson SAS Hotel complex. Up to 1,000 people can be accommodated in the vessel, the vast ballroom; fully equipped conference venue is featuring the latest audio-visual equipment, including translation booths and projectors.
Exceeding 2500 tons, the Al Hashemi II is a cargo ship in deep water and one of the most decorated of all dhows. Discovery: Near the ice on the first Ring Road, the amazing musical fountain is considered to be the fourth largest in the world. The three main fountains consist of 220 small fountains that constantly monitor the music in a dazzling display of synchronized water, light and sound. The jets can reach a peak of 35 meters. It is such a relaxing way to start or end his day. Culture: The constitutional monarchy of Kuwait has a rich cultural heritage and many modern attractions.
You may think that the wealth of its new and modern hotels and glittering skyscrapers are in contrast with its mosques and traditional souks. But the warm hospitality of its inhabitants is a link between these contrasts, and makes a charming destination Kuwait.
There are several interesting museums and art galleries. Hotels: The range of benefits ranges from hotels to luxury hotels first and second category. Many large hotels in Kuwait are sports complexes, restaurants and shopping malls.

Kuwait (The City State)

This frontier emirate golf attracts more businessmen and tourists. Kuwait is primarily a destination for tourism business, like its capital, Kuwait City and its forest of high buildings, its hotels and boutiques and its broad avenues where parade sedans and limousines. However, Kuwait has interesting desert scenery and beautiful beaches bordering the Persian Gulf. The country is also home to one of the largest amusement parks in the Middle East in Doha Village. The essence of a place to stay in Kuwait City, a patchwork of high buildings, luxury hotels, and large parks and gardens carefully maintained. Kuwait is a mixture but in a strangely intriguing way to Western liberalism and strict Islam. Kuwait's capital is a dynamic city, where skyscrapers and luxury hotels are part of the landscape, as you might have you expect.
However, the country is also home to mosques and opulent palaces and religion is an integral part of the country. This juxtaposition is perhaps the fact that Kuwait combines Islam and the wealth from oil that is sold mainly to Western superpowers.
