Each is governed by an Emir and has his own administration. Each Emir retains the autonomy of managing the resources of his Emirate. Land of contrasts, where modernity and tradition are surprisingly linked, the UAE will amaze you with extravagance they have blown this desert territory yet there is barely 30 years.
