The travelers checks

Many travelers do not yet know the 'travelers' despite their importance ... It is pre-paid vouchers that you buy before leaving, so you do not walk with a lot of cash especially in countries where the use of credit cards is not widespread. In addition, knowing that having cash on you is too risky (in case of loss or aggression) and the use of credit card is sometimes expensive. It is ambiguous (cost, exchange rate, etc.), and risky to abroad (fraud, loss, etc.). The travelers are safe and inexpensive means ... For more information, consult our guide for travelers checks.

Exchange

For your exchange operations, choose carefully the exchange office. Here is a small demo of a foreign exchange transaction made on 13/09/07 in Paris at an agency in Opera. The rate of the day Euro/Dollar is 1, 390 (source: xe.com) so that 1000$ = 719,331 EUR if you do the exchange at your bank. This same operation done in this agency was 646.36 Euro (a rate of 1.469 and charges of 34.02 euro!!!). What makes a loss of Euro 73 in 2 minutes (it was better to enter the bank in front to avoid this loss)

In China

The hotels require to be paid in advance, so if you arrive at night or on rest days (weekends or holidays), make sure you have the “Chinese Yuan” to avoid the fact that you could be found in the street (travelers checks and credit cards are often not accepted)

For Tunisians

If you travel to Latin America, you will notice that customs officials do not know all the time Tunisia, because the country name on the passport is written in French, Arabic and English. The name in Spanish is different. It is “Tunez” ...

Visa applications

Some countries (especially the former USSR) are calling for a formal invitation from an agency. This invitation may take time and is expensive. You can easily get an invitation from a person in this country using the site for meetings between passengers such as Rahhala.net; hospitalityclub.org or  Couchsurfing.com

Visa Express

are often displayed in the consulates of countries around the world. Please note that nationals of Arab countries have not very often the right to ask Visa Express. So ask for information in advance...

Arabs

known by generosity and hospitality, so if you travel, take with you small gifts, oriental objects, books about your country, postcards, etc ...

Travelers

Those having two nationalities (France and Morocco for example), should inquire about visas. They may need a visa with the French passport and they will not need a visa with the Moroccan or Tunisian passport ... So please get well informed and keep both passports with you...
