A meal in a normal restaurant: less than 800 DA (less than 9 €).
A classic distance bus in the city: Inexpensive, equipped with meters. It takes roughly 100 AD for 100 kms, but it can vary especially in the Deep South.

Lodgings & Costs
Outside the cities and tourist sites in the Sahara, the hotel infrastructure is almost non-existent. Needless to try to stay in youth hostel: they are rare and poorly maintained. Only Tamanrasset in the Hoggar (South) has to correct. Make a cross on your tent, a few dispersed campsites along the coast are not really adapted and wild camping is prohibited.

Hotels
There are generally three types of hotels in Algerian cities: small institutions inherited from the colonial era, the state built hotels there are more than thirty years by the architect Fernand Pouillon and luxurious buildings belonging to international hotel chains .
